About Us

Great Barrier Airlines has been operating more than 30 years. The first flight flew from Ardmore in 1983, and today now operates from Auckland International, Dairy Flat (North Shore), and seasonally to both Whangarei and Whitianga.

Great Barrier Airlines’ Chief Executive, Mark Roberts, has been part of the airline for many years taking the CEO role over in February 2012. We are proud to be a part of the Great Barrier Island Community, which we support through various initiatives.

We operate the largest (and fastest) aircraft to the Island, all flights operated by multi engine aircraft and we offer the largest choice of routes. We are a CAA Part 119 approved airline, with both Part 125 and Part 135 Aircraft.
